Cheap Donut from the Local Grocery

I have a weakness for low-quality donuts, I guess. Don't get me wrong, I also love the gourmet ones from the Donut Plant. But this had probably been sitting in the case all day, so it was getting a bit dry, which meant that it was kind of crunchy on the outside. Which is AWESOME.

Anniversary Breakfast at Papaya Dog

 Orange Drink. This color does not exist in nature. You are less healthy after you drink this.

We thought it was funny to have dirt-cheap breakfast in styrofoam the morning after our second anniversary, which was June 28, 2011. Whenever we eat there and get 2 full breakfasts and Orange Drink for under $5 total, I just laugh and laugh the whole time. I don't know why; it tastes fine and it's not vermin-ridden or anything. I think it's the Orange Drink that makes me giggle. You sip it and then you go, "Oh dear lord, what have I done??"

Cheap Pizza Slices

A big thing in NYC right now is the 99 cent pizza slice. There are three within 2 short blocks of my house, one that I can see from my window, which is where these are from. They're pretty decent when you want a fast and cheap snack. When we want REAL good slices, we go to Famiglia or Claudio (both of which will probably be featured prominently in many of these blog posts.) But for 2 bucks after a long day of work that gets me home at 1am, this is pretty great.
