More Nachos from La Paloma

This time I told them to hold the jalapenos and chowed down with relish on the entire plate.

Fish Tacos

These were at Eclipse Restaurant in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. July 10, 2011, for Rachael's birthday. Most excellent. I have had a hard time finding grilled fish tacos in the city. Mostly I find breaded and deep-fried. These were pretty perfect, I just squeezed a little lime on them, and a little bit of the salsa verde. Light and fresh and perfect for a summer evening.

Mexican Nachos

This was dinner tonight, from La Paloma (now called Ranchito.) Someone must have spilled jalapeno juice all over them, because even after I picked the peppers off, they were so hot that my lips were burning.

2 Grilled Chicken Burritos, months apart

These are from La Paloma, which is one of our favorite places in Hell's Kitchen. It had a fire about a year and a half ago, and was closed for a long time, more than 6 months. We were sure it wouldn't open again, but it did. And there was much rejoicing. They changed the name, now it's Ranchito or something, but I will always call it La Paloma
